This email format checker validates the syntax and structure of an email address. It checks for proper use of the @ symbol, valid domain structure, correct character usage, and common formatting mistakes. It does NOT verify whether the mailbox exists — for that, you need SMTP verification.
Common Format Issues
- Missing @ symbol — Every email needs exactly one @ separating local part from domain.
- Missing domain extension — Domains must include a TLD (.com, .io, .net, etc.).
- Invalid characters — Spaces, commas, and most special characters are not allowed.
- Double dots — Consecutive dots (e.g., jane..doe@) are invalid per RFC 5321.
- Role-based addresses — Addresses like info@, sales@, admin@ are valid but risky for cold outreach.
